Celebrating the Fourth of July in Jersey City

July 4th marks Independence Day for America with celebrations across the country. And lucky for us here in Jersey City, we have one of the largest festivals in the region. So along with great spots to view fireworks and parks for picnics, we have gathered the many ways you can celebrate Independence Day this year with your friends and family! 

 

4th of July Fireworks Food Festival – Exchange Place PATH Station, 68 Christopher Columbus Drive

You don’t want to miss out on the Jersey City Fireworks and Food Festival curated by the Jersey City Night Market, taking place on Monday, July 4th, from 12-10 PM! Many vendors will provide you with delicious food options, artisanal shopping, drinks, and music. Perfect spot to grab some food and drinks before the fireworks begin at 9:30 PM. This year, Flo Rida will take the stage before the fireworks start. The event is also free for all to attend! For more information, click here

The Rooftop at Exchange place offers stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. If you’re looking for a special night out, they are having a 4th of July three-course early bird terrace dinner or if you’re in the mood for a happy hour, then check out their rooftop happy hour happening from 4-7 PM. Where to Watch Fireworks in Jersey City

If you’re not planning to attend any events, you’re lucky, as Jersey City has great viewing spots throughout the city. You can watch the fireworks along the Hudson River Walkway from Liberty State Park and most Jersey City Heights areas. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 PM!
