Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Festivities in Jersey City 

It’s that time of the year when the streets are flooding with green from parades to having a good time at an Irish pub! We have listed events taking place for St. Patrick’s Day, making it easier for you to plan out your day. From attending Jersey City’s iconic St. Patrick’s Day parade to having brunch at your favorite local Irish pub, we got you covered with where celebrations are happening. So, join in on the fun and get ready for a good Irish time here in Jersey City! 

 

Jersey City St. Patrick’s Day Parade 

Location: William L. Dickinson High School, 2 Palisade Avenue 

Date & Time: Sunday, March 13th at 12:30 PM 

Following two years of cancellation due to the coronavirus pandemic, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Jersey City is back this year! Hosted by the St. Patrick’s Day Committee of Jersey City, the parade will celebrate the Irish heritage and honor the life and work of St. Patrick, the Apostle of Ireland. Grand marshal Kenneth Kopacz will lead it, and the parade will use a new route starting from Dickinson High School to Jersey Avenue via Newark Avenue. So, wear your green and don’t miss out on marching in the parade!

Ireland Flag Raising 

Location: Jersey City Hall 

Date & Time: Thursday, March 17th, 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM 

The Ireland Flag raising will take place outdoors at City Hall Plaza. Masks are required if attending, and social distancing standards will be required.

On March 17th, Departed Soles will have a St. Patrick’s Day special for all guests wearing green! $15 Flights & Pints. The perfect spot to celebrate while supporting your local brewery!

 

902 Brewing Co. – 101 Pacific Ave. (Bergen-Lafayette)

Looking to enjoy some live Irish music? On March 12th, 902 Brewing Co. will have a party with live Irish music, green beer, and more for customers to enjoy. Simply Done Productions food truck will be on-premise for the entire day!

 

Hudson Hounds – 8 Erie Street (Downtown)

Are you looking for an Irish dinner to celebrate St. Patty’s Day? Hudson Hounds JC will have dinner specials from March 15-March 20th. From shepherd’s pie to corned beef & cabbage, you’ll be able to start your celebration just right. Don’t forget to make your reservations!  

 

O’Leary’s Publik House – 788 Garfield Ave (Bergen-Lafayette)

Located in the Bergen-Lafayette section of Jersey City, St Patrick’s Day is O’Leary’s favorite time of the year. While supplies last, they will hand out complimentary corned beef sandwiches. So, stop by after the parade and celebrate at O’Leary’s!

If you’re looking for brunch or dinner options to celebrate, then, The Hutton has an excellent selection for you. They will be opening at 11 AM on Sunday, 3/13 and Thursday,3/17. Enjoy their corned beef special and Irish breakfast! They also play live Irish music every Sunday. 

 

Zepplin Hall – 88 Liberty View Dr (Downtown) 

Jersey City’s beloved Biergarten will host a grand reopening by celebrating Irish Cuisine. Stop by March 12th to enjoy a selection of Irish meals, including Corned Beef & Cabbage, Irish Reuben Sandwiches, Fish & Chips, and Guinness Beer Bratwurst prepared by Chef Franco Robazetti.
