Getting bored of the local faves?

Several new businesses, from restaurants and food markets to consulting companies, have made their home to Jersey City this New Year. Some of these places have yet to open, and some are still warming up in the community. Check out our list below to stop by and support these new businesses! We have made it easier and identified which neighborhoods they have opened for you. 

Angry Archie’s 565 Palisade Ave. (The Heights) 

Everyone knows Angry Archie’s as the popular food truck. And now you can enjoy their delicious food at their new location in the Heights of Jersey City. This family-run business was established in 2015 in Jersey City and has served the community with its tasty seafood bites!

Bluevine – 30 Montgomery St. (Exchange Place) 

Bluevine was founded in 2013 as a financial technology company that builds better banking solutions for growing businesses and provides the attention and service they deserve. They now have a new corporate location in Jersey City place near Exchange place to help small businesses grow. 

Bon Vivant – 295 Johnson Avenue (Bergen-Lafayette)

This New York-based pastry shop has opened up a new location in the Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood. You can indulge in miniature cakes and petits fours at this luxury boutique. A perfect spot for coffee or tea with your family and friends! 

 

Boots + Bones Barbeque – 116 Newark Ave. 

A new BBQ restaurant by chef Kenny Callaghan is coming downtown to give you a taste of the south. Follow their Instagram for more information on their opening!

City Bagel & Deli – 301 Grove St. (Downtown) 

A new bagel shop has opened in historic downtown Jersey City offering you another option for breakfast! A perfect spot to grab your breakfast the next time you’re craving a Jersey bagel. 

Don’t Tell Liv – 138 Newark Ave. (Downtown)

A new lounge will make a home in downtown Jersey City providing locals with a new scene to explore. Opening up on the second floor of 138 Newark Avenue, this spot will have cozy seating and an upscale feel. Stay tuned for their opening!

Ginger Organics JC – 430 Palisade Ave.  (The Heights)

This woman-owned mini supermarket and café opened up in the Heights recently. The owner Is a local Heights resident who hopes to offer her community more options for healthy food. You can enjoy fresh sandwiches, soups, and salads. They also carry many organic food items as well as household items.

Kimchi Guys – 172 Newark Ave. (Downtown) 

Known for its Korean fried chicken, this spot has many dishes for you with its diverse Korean menu. In addition to Korean Fried Chicken, the menu offers traditional and non-traditional Korean BBQ options. Vegan options are also available!

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar – 525 Washington Blvd. (Newport) 

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is an innovative and tech-interactive Japanese restaurant concept established in 2008 as a subsidiary of Kura Sushi, Inc. They have opened a new location in Newport Towers for you to enjoy sushi and ramen. If you’re heading to do some shopping and looking to grab some lunch or dinner, you won’t want to miss out on checking out this new spot!

 

Mona Souvlaki Mediterranean Cuisine – 408 Central Ave. (The Heights)

The Heights will welcome a new Mediterranean restaurant to its community. This restaurant will be the second opening of a Greek restaurant in Jersey City, followed by Ela Green Kitchen in downtown Jersey City. The restaurant has not opened yet, so follow their Instagram to stay tuned for the opening!

Teazzi Tea – 153 Morgan St. (Powerhouse Arts District) 

Teazzi Tea is coming to Jersey City to bring you many options of boba bubble tea. With several locations around New York City, Boston, and Las Vegas, they will open up a location in the Powerhouse Arts District here in Jersey City.
