Celebrate the Holiday Season in Jersey City 

It’s that time of the year again! Lucky for us, Jersey City is filled with many events this Holiday season. Whether new to the city or a local, we’ve rounded up the many events to make planning easier for you! Enjoy everything this holiday season offers, from holiday markets to musical performances. 

Holiday Markets

Heights Holiday Market – 498 Palisade Avenue 

On Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Riverview Farmers Market will bring the Heights Holiday Market, a new holiday market pop-up, to Jersey City Heights! This market will include more than 50 local vendors, so you will have many options to find the perfect Christmas present! There will also be food and drink options and entertainment. Don’t miss out on the first Heights Holiday Market!

 

Happy Holiday Market – Grove Street PATH Plaza (Outdoors) & The Ashford Rooftop (Indoors)

The Downtown Happy Holiday Market is back again this year on December Saturday and Sunday, 10-11th & 17-18th, from 12 pm-6 pm. Taking place outdoors by the Grove Street Plaza and indoors at the Ashford Rooftop, you can enjoy many local vendors and food options. 

Art Market Holidays at 150 Art Gallery Lobby – 150 Bay St 150 Bay Street 

You can support the local artists at the Art Market Holidays on Saturday, December 17th and Sunday, December 18th, from 1 pm-7 pm. This is a perfect place to find a unique gift for friends and family, with many handmade gift options. For more information, click here

Holiday Market at Café Lafayette – 74 Maple Street 

Curated by the Foundry Girl JC, enjoy drinks and bites at Café Lafayette while supporting local vendors. The Holiday Market will take place Saturday and Sunday, December 10-11, from 4 PM-9 PM. 

Activities for Family & Friends 

GALmas Holiday Party at ReWax and UnWine Jersey City – 2 Division Street 

On Saturday, December 10th, join ReWax & UnWine for their GALmas Holiday Party! ReWax & UnWine is a candle-making bar where you hand-pour your signature scented candles. For more information, click here

JCFamilies’ 10th Annual Holiday Party – 189 Brunswick Street

JC Families is hosting their 10th Annual holiday party. This is a perfect opportunity for local families to come together and celebrate the holiday season. On Sunday, December 10th, from 11 am-2 pm, you can enjoy various activities, from pictures with Santa, a giant bubble show, and arts and crafts. The perfect activity for kids! Click here for tickets

HDSID Iceless Ice Skating – 134-158 Newark Avenue 

On Saturday, December 10th, from 12 PM-4 PM, as part of the Happy Holiday Market, you can take a break from shopping to enjoy Iceless Ice Skating on the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Mall. The Jersey City Arts and Culture Trust Fund will support music. The suggested fee for ice skating is $10 per person and includes skates!

The Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery

On December 17, 2022, at noon, Suburban Propane (NJ0134) will be helping Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes. For more information, click here.  

Music & Performance 

Jersey City Nutcracker – 329 Warren Street

You won’t want to miss out on the Jersey City Nutcracker if you love musicals. Choreographed and directed by Nimbus Artistic Director Samuel Pott, this adaption of Tchaikovsky’s holiday classic is performed by a stand-out cast of professional dancers from Nimbus Dance joined by youth and adults from the community; familiar characters such as the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Rat King, and Drosselmeyer – all with a Jersey City twist! Hope Center’s Christmas Production – 110 Cambridge Avenue 

On Friday, December 9th, from 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM and Sunday, December 11th, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 AM, Hope Center will be premiering their Christmas production “Do You Hear What I Hear?.” The Hope Center arts team presents this musical, so don’t miss out and get your ticket here.  

The Holiday Spec-TOLL-Cular at Fox & Crow – 594 Palisade Avenue 

On Saturday, December 10th, from 8-10 PM, Fox & Crow will bring you a festive night to remember! They will be mixing holiday classics alongside favorites. Don’t forget to put on your favorite Christmas sweater and enjoy the Holiday Spec-TOLL-cular! $10 at the door. 

Food & Drinks

Brunch with Santa at the Ashford – 45 Newark Avenue 

On Saturday, December 10th, from 12 PM-2 PM, join Whole Spectrum Autism at the Ashford for Brunch with Santa. There will be great food, holiday cheer, and gifts from Santa! To register, click here

Cellar 335 Sleighs and Leis –  335 Newark Avenue 

Get in the holiday spirit at Cellar 335 with their Christmas drinks and festive decorations until December 31st. There will be a holiday-inspired cocktail menu for you to enjoy! 

 

Pints & Pictures with Santa at 902 Brewing Co – 101 Pacific Avenue

Santa will be at 902 Brewing on Saturday, December 10th, from 1 pm-3 pm to take holiday pictures. Everyone is free to attend, but a recommended donation of one toy per child to their annual toy drive would be appreciated!

Miracle on Mercer – 292 Barrow Street
