Liberty State Park is located on Upper New York Bay in Jersey City, opposite both Liberty Island and Ellis Island. The park opened in 1976 to coincide with bicentennial celebrations and is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry.
This park not only has large amounts of space to roam free and enjoy the nature and beauty of the Jersey City, but it also has many activities that are fun and adventurous. They have kayak Eco tours, picnic areas, playgrounds, food concession, fishing and crabbing, and paths for bike riding. This has also has a Ferry service to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and the CRRNJ. Terminal.
