As part of Mana Contemporary’s upcoming exhibition Implied Scale: Confronting the Enormity of Climate Change, the organization will host a virtual panel to inspire its audience to move from passive witnesses to active agents of change through the pairing of imagery created by artists with the thoughts of climate experts.
When art meets science, those who were once witnesses or observers of an issue can become active participants in advancing change. Artists help us witness majestic and unexplored terrain, and illustrate landscapes and imagery that viewers may never be able to visit in person.
Robin Bell will moderate a conversation among Caroline Juang, Zaria Forman, and Jeff Frost to investigate what emotions emerge from art and unpack how art can motivate us to move beyond fear to hope and action. Presented in partnership with The Earth Institute at Columbia University and the Columbia Climate School.
The virtual panel is complimentary and participants may register here
