Profile
A new public arts exhibition by Walk Bye presents this thought: What is the ability to affect one’s life by having power to make choices, a resistance to oppression and an iron will to gain freedom?
Walk_Bye and Jersey City Public Library invite you to make a collage, a drawing, a sculpture, a cut paper piece, a maquette, or a photograph: any media at all. Video, projection, and installation pieces will also be considered. No fee to enter.
Inspired by Black History Month and Women’s History Month, we seek artists residing in New Jersey to show us a representation of the theme, embrace the intersectionality in our community, and present a piece for a new exhibit at the Five Corners Library in Jersey City. The open call is open to all religions, genders, and nationalities.
Deadline is February 22nd, 2021 at 5 PM EST.
