Join us for an exciting and informative program for all ages — Birds of Prey
Join the Leonard Gordon Park Conservancy and enjoy a presentation by Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, Birds of Prey. Get an up-close look at a red-tailed hawk, American kestrel, and 2 owls. Learn how these beautiful birds play an essential role at the top of the food chain in our environment. Hear each bird’s story of why it cannot live in the wild and learn about the adaptations, habitats, behaviors, and conservation status of these 4 raptor species native to New Jersey. Learn which ones call Jersey City home and where you can find them.
This program is made possible by a grant from JC COVID-19 Relief, in partnership with a Healthier JC and The Jersey City Parks Coalition.
Must register for this event. City and State covid-19 guidelines will be followed and enforced.
