Caribbean cuisine is a fusion of African, Amerindian, European, East Indian, Arab and Chinese cuisine. Although it is a fusion of various cuisines, the Caribbeans introduced their own ingredients such as eggplants, chick peas, cilantro, and more. As they put their unique touch and styles in their dishes, they created their own cuisine that represented their culture. They most commonly utilize ingredients such as rice, plantains, beans, cassava, chick peas, sweet potatoes.
