Join Kate Eggleston for an afternoon of needles and thread, surrounded by her solo show Please Scream Inside Your Heart currently on display at SMUSH Gallery. The repetitive mark making in her work resembles a running stitch, which is a simple sewing technique that can be used to mend clothing by hand. Learn how to decoratively repair a rip in your favorite pair of jeans or a holely t-shirt. This style of mending is meant to be a visible embellishment, so bring your creative energy!

Participants should bring an article of clothing or fabric item that needs a small repair. All other materials are included. All levels welcome – no sewing experience needed. This workshop is appropriate for all ages 8+ and adults.
