Profile
1000W seeks to raise $100,000 for the jazz community, which has been especially hard hit during the Covid-19 pandemic.
On Friday, September 10th, The Statuary, Jersey City will present a performance of 1000W featuring Artist Jim Watt and the Antoine Drye Quintet. 1000W is a unique collaboration of art, music, photography, and filmmaking. Artist Jim Watt is creating a series of 1000 ink washes as a quintet led by jazz trumpeter Antoine Drye improvises with four other musicians. Watt’s paintings, priced at $350, will be available for purchase, with funds going to jazz musicians impacted by the pandemic. To learn more, visit Jim’s website here. Event is free, with donations going to the band.
